Pastor Matt Williams
"To God Be the Glory, Great Things He Hath Done."
Matt Williams was born in Kennewick, Washington. At the age of four, Matt's parents were led to the Lord by a soul winner, Pastor John Paisley from Riverview Baptist Church in Pasco, WA. His family began attending Riverview Baptist Church and became extremely involved in serving the Lord through their outreach ministries.
At the age of fourteen, Bro. Williams accepted Christ as his personal Saviour. Once he graduated from Riverview Baptist School and attended one year of Bible college Bro. Williams decided to return to Pasco, WA and work and to do his "own thing". It was not until the fall of1999 that Bro. Williams surrendered to God's calling on his life and returned to Bible college.
At Golden State Baptist College, Bro. Williams met his wife, Anna, and they were married in August of 2002. In May 2003, he graduated from Golden State Baptist College. Upon graduating, Bro. Williams and his wife joined the staff of Shasta Baptist Church in Redding, CA under Pastor Mike Johnson.
While at Shasta Baptist Church, Bro. Williams served as the Youth Director, Music and Choir Director and Soul Winning Director. The Lord allowed Bro. Williams to serve him faithfully at Shasta Baptist Church for eleven years. During these eleven years, Bro. Williams and his wife, Anna, had three children: Emma in January 2005, Maddelyn (Maddie) in August 2007 and Jude in May of 2010.
While attending the National Pastor's Conference in Santa Clara, CA in March of 2014, God called Bro. Williams to the pastorate. After much prayerful consideration and spiritual counseling, Bro. Williams felt God specifically directing him to the city of Issaquah, WA. In August of 2014, Bro. Williams and his family stepped out by faith and moved to the city of Issaquah, WA to begin Mountain View Baptist Church.
In January of 2021, Bro. Williams accepted a new pastoral position back in his birthplace of Kennewick, here at Providence Baptist Church. We are excited with how God is on the move within our church!
Alex Munoz and Family
Alex Munoz, co- pastor at PBC, was born and raised in Pasco. Alex and his wife, Stephanie, have been married since 2021. God has blessed them with 4 beautiful children.
He has been in ministry for over 20 years now.
After graduating Bible college God allowed him minister in Pasco, at his home church for 10 years , as the youth Pastor. After that he pastored in Marysville, WA for 10 years .
In 2021 the Lord called Alex and his family back to the Tri-Cities to help co-pastor Providence Baptist Church. They are excited to be back home close to Alex’s family.
Alex and Matt went to K5 together , grade school, and high school. They even attended Bible college together. Now they get to Co-pastor PBC together . This is a unique and special friendship and ministry these men are blessed to share.
